Default i have bought the ingredients for making a mulled wine for christmas can i add a...

...bottle of port to it ir not? i have found this bottle of port and i want to use it up

will it be ok to add it to the wine and brandy that i have bought to make a mulled wine this christmas

I guess it should be ok - port is pretty much condensed wine anyway.

Although, add it last, a little bit at a time and taste it as you go.

Port?? a Portuguese one? I like them,however they're a bit too sweet.
Brandy would be better.
Why don't you make a very small test batch with each one and taste it?

Bless you,Port and brandy,yum.Some call it fortified wine,either way,i am positive you will enjoy this drink of the Kings and Queens.I read some ware that Queen Elizabeth II enjoys it and so did the Queen Mother,but they are the only ones,any way i digress,Merry Christmas.

Stick to using wine with just a bit of port and brandy. They are strong drinks with strong flavours so you don't want to add too much.

Drink the port on it's own. It will keep for ages as long as you put the cork back in.

Wow, any chance of me trying it for you (just to make sure it tastes ok of course). Yes, throw the port in it, sounds great.
