Default will the yeast in my wine die if i did not give it its second batch of sugar when i

was supposed to? i gave my blackberry wine a batch of its its first sugar then was instructed to leave it to ferment for the next seven days. i did so but have only just put the next batch of sugar in 2 weeks later!! does this mean that its failed?
