Why does wine make me feel "drunk" faster than the hard stuff?
I have a bottle of Cabernet Sauvignon that I've had for a while (I don't drink too much, but sometimes I like a half glass with dinner). Anyway, it says it is 13.5% Alcohol by Volume. I have some Bicardi that says it is over 40%. So mathematically, it would take 3 times as much Cabernet as Bicardi to have the same effect, right?
I have a couple sips of this stuff and I feel super relaxed. I haven't even drinken a shots worth of it. But it takes a couple shots of Bicardi to get this effect. Is there some other variable causing this to happen? It doesn't make any sense to me.
I've already eaten dinner by the way, so I'm not drinking on an empty stomach or anything.
