How to ship beer/wine from Canada to the U.S.?

I am going to Detroit, and subsequently Windsor, ON, next month. As breweries and beer are a hobby of mine, I'm going to visit a brewery/winery or two. Since you cannot bring liquids with you on a plane anymore, does anyone know of the laws pertaining to shipping/carrying liquids and alcohol across country lines? Thanks in advance!
