Default Do you think Jesus Christ literally turned water to wine?

Or is that a metaphor for spiritual truth which makes one feel elated as though he had been sipping wine?

Water lacks the complex hydrocarbon and sugar chains necessary for it to be readily turned into wine. I have no idea how Jesus did it, if he did it.

My bet is that he simply sent out for some Gallo.

After all, if he could turn water into wine, he wouldn't have been a wandering preacher; he'd have opened a tavern!

Is the story a metaphor? I don't know. It never occurred to me to wonder. It's an interesting point, though.

Different people have different turn-ons, and they are intolerant about anyone else's turn-ons, e.g. hippies smoked marigjuana but disapproved of squares drinking alcohol. People who get high on religion do not want antyone to do it any other way. Still, Jesus probably never existed. there are too many contradictions about him in the Bible, and the lack of historical evidence.

Of course He did. What makes you think He didn't. People saw it happen. It's called an eye witness account. That's not so hard to believe, if you believe in the One who sent Him.

I'm not convinced there was literally a Jesus, wine notwithstanding.
