i am a pinot noir fan, to unwind a nice cream sauce and pasta and a hefty glass of a decent noir with its subtle flavors mixing with the food... can't beat it

What would be a good type of wine to wind down evenings with? I have a chardonnay...

...and a merlot.? Toad Hallow Chardonnay and Norma Jeane Merlot...
I'm not much of a drinker and like sweeter types of alcholic drinks.
