I would say any seafood, chicken or light pasta dishes. Doesn't matter what region - it's all good.

To a novice wine drinker, I would say everything.

Russian River wines are slightly buttery with a fruity finish.

European chardonnays...which region?

Australian chardonnays are too sweet for my taste. I put them in the category with any dish that has caramelized onions.
