is rex goliath cabernet sauvignon supposed to taste like slightly tannic water?
i'm very new to wine tasting about 12 bottles in. i'm taking a class so cut me some slack if i'm horribly off on some of this.the things that struck me as odd were its not very viscos for a 13.5%wine, it has almost no nose i could bearly smell anything even when i jammed my nose in the glass my only reactions were that it smelled i want to say tannic but perhaps oaky is a better word. when i tasted it really had almost no character other than being mildly tannic and a slight hint of i guess friut. what went wrong with this wine?
