I haven't had a chance to taste this one, but I did find a rating (though it is from your disliked Wine Dictator):
"Supple and stylish, with excellent intensity to black cherry, raspberry, cola and fresh herb tones, nicely accented by spicy, cedary oak and lively structure. Drink now through 2007. 1,400 cases made. 87 points. " Release price $35 US.
The tasting note is from 2004.
As you know, pinot is always a risk at any price range. That's why I try to go to as many pinot tastings as I can and I'll only buy the ones I've had a chance to try. There's a Domaine Rene Leclerc vertical tasting on Wednesday that I'm looking forward to.
I hope your wine is good. It should be at its peak now, if you believe James Laube from WS. Just make sure your audience likes pinot. I brought a bottle of Domaine Serene Yamhill Cuvee to Christmas dinner one year and my wife's family did not care for it at all.
Cheers!
