Jim, I'm sorry you're having bad experiences with some conservatives on this site. There are quite a lot of us who have been harassed at least as bad as you have, if not worse, by people from your side of the spectrum.
For example, there's a group of people (I know who they are, even if there's no way of proving it) going around to all my answers and giving me thumbs-down.
I think it was the same people who set up four impersonation accounts. They're probably the same people who call everyone who disagrees with them a "neocon hacker", and the same people who were claiming that I'm actually a man (I think my husband would disagree with that!), a racist (my friends of other nationalities find that laughable), a pedophile (OMG!), that I'm "mentally ill" (not last I checked!), and that I have multiple profiles. Nope, I just have the one. If I had more, I would be giving myself more thumbs-up, AND I would always win a question that was put to a vote.
So it isn't just the conservatives. It's some liberals too.
However, I recognize that not every liberal or Democrat resorts to this kind of infantile tactic. MOST liberals and MOST conservatives are decent people, who want what's best for our country, and also don't want to add to the crap on this site.
It's just that the indecent ones are the loudest.
