What happened to my wine?? Adamo, 2004, pinot noir, Santa Barbara?
So, a few weeks ago, we stop into this little wine shop, I taste and decide to by this wine, I loved it, savored it, infact, I enjoyed it for 4 evenings.
We happen to stop in there again his weekend and see that the place is going out of business,(maybe that should have been my first clue), ofcourse I quickly scoop up 2 bottles of my beloved Adamo. I open it tonight, anticipating the wonderful occasion a head of me......the wine taste awful.
It taste almost moldy, or over ripe, not so moldy it would get me sick, but there is something not right......last time I enjoyed it so much.
I know I wasn't just imagining how much I enjoyed it last time....what happened? I let it breath for a few minutes...do I need to let it breath more? Is there anything I can do? I still have one bottle left, and the place is closed.....
so is that what the "moldy" taste is, Corked?
I didn't see any mold. Can it make some one sick?
